Government and Society
This 21-day executive course gives you the stakeholder map, engagement playbook, and confidence to lead at the intersection of business and society. You'll move from Awareness of the regulatory and public landscape, through Authenticity in your institutional positioning, to Action with one proactive engagement that shifts your organization from reactive to influential.
Six shifts. One new you. 🌱
You'll map every regulatory body, policy trend, and public expectation that touches your business.
You'll speak the language of government, NGOs, media, and citizens without sounding corporate.
You'll initiate one strategic engagement before the next regulation or crisis forces your hand.
You'll design how your organization shows up in public discourse, not just react to it.
You'll brief your board and executive team so societal risk is treated like financial risk.
You'll operate as a leader who shapes the environment, not just navigates it.
- You lead a company that operates in regulated industries or faces rising public scrutiny
- You've been surprised by a policy change, activist campaign, or media storm in the past year
- You know your competitors are building government and civil society relationships you lack
- You're ready to spend 15 minutes a day for three weeks becoming the executive who sees around corners
- ✕ You think regulation is something your legal team handles and you just sign off on
- ✕ You believe public opinion doesn't matter as long as the numbers are good
- ✕ You're looking for a quick fix or a template you can hand to your communications director
A curriculum designed to move you 🧭
Weeks 1-2. You'll audit every external force shaping your operating environment: regulators, legislators, advocacy groups, media narratives, and shifting citizen expectations. You'll identify gaps in your current stakeholder intelligence and build the radar system you should have had from day one.
Week 2. You'll define how your organization participates in public discourse without sounding defensive, opportunistic, or tone-deaf. You'll craft a positioning statement that works in a boardroom, a ministry office, and a journalist's inbox. You'll practice speaking for the institution, not just the business.
Week 3. You'll design and initiate one proactive engagement: a meeting request, a public submission, a partnership conversation, or a media contribution. This isn't PR. This is you making the first move in a relationship that will matter for the next five years.
Final days. You'll brief your leadership team, install an ongoing stakeholder-monitoring rhythm, and commit to treating external stakeholder strategy as a standing agenda item. You'll leave the course with a 90-day roadmap and the mindset of an executive who builds the rules, not just follows them.

Coach
The Exponential Coach 🤝
The Exponential Coach has spent two decades working with founders, C-suite executives, and boards navigating the messy intersection of business, government, and society. Before coaching, they held roles that required fluency across corporate strategy, public policy, and stakeholder diplomacy—the kind of fluency most executives wish they'd built ten years ago.
This course distills lessons from leaders who learned to engage proactively with regulators before the investigation, with activists before the boycott, and with legislators before the unfavorable amendment. It's built for executives who understand that influence outside the organization is now as critical as execution inside it.
Growth, in their own words 💖
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"I went from seeing regulatory affairs as a compliance burden to treating it as strategic intelligence. Within two weeks of finishing this course, I had my first direct conversation with a ministry official—and we're now co-designing part of the implementation framework."
Andreas M., CEO, FinTech scale-up, Frankfurt (composite student voice)
"The stakeholder mapping exercise revealed three groups we'd completely ignored, including an NGO that turned out to be advising the regulator. I reached out, we met, and what could have been opposition became consultation. That one move justified the entire course."
Leila K., General Counsel turned Chief Public Affairs Officer, MedTech, Zurich (composite student voice)
"I used to think government relations was about lobbying and donations. This course taught me it's about showing up early, listening well, and contributing substance. I now spend one hour a week on external stakeholder work, and it's changed how the board sees my role."
Tomáš V., Founder and Chairman, Industrial IoT, Prague (composite student voice)
FAQ ☯️
I have a government relations team. Why do I need this course?+
Because your GR team executes the strategy, but you set the tone, make the trade-offs, and show up in the rooms that matter. This course is about your leadership posture, not outsourcing stakeholder engagement to a function.
What if my industry isn't heavily regulated?+
Every industry faces public expectations, reputational risk, and the possibility of future regulation. The leaders who engage early help write the rules. The ones who wait get rules written for them.
I'm not comfortable with politics. Do I have to become a lobbyist?+
No. This is about institutional diplomacy, not partisan politics. You'll learn to engage on policy substance, build relationships based on shared interests, and contribute to public discourse without compromising your integrity or your brand.
Can I do this course if I'm outside Europe?+
Yes. The principles of regulatory and societal stakeholder engagement are universal, even if the specific institutions differ. You'll adapt the frameworks to your own jurisdiction. Most of our executive cohort is international.
What's the time commitment beyond the daily lesson?+
Each day includes a 15-minute lesson and a real-world task—writing a stakeholder brief, scheduling a conversation, reviewing a policy draft, or preparing a positioning statement. Total daily time is 30 to 45 minutes. The course is designed for full calendars.
