You're tired of giving answers when your job is growing people π±
The GROW Habit
The GROW model is the most widely used coaching framework in the world, and for good reason: it works in ten minutes, it's simple enough to remember under pressure, and it turns problem-bringers into problem-solvers. This course gives you the structure, the language, and the daily practice to make coaching your default response. Awareness: you'll see exactly where you're answer-giving instead of developing. Authenticity: you'll build your own coaching voice, not a script. Action: you'll run five real GROW conversations and watch your people start owning their own solutions.
Six shifts. One new you. π±
The four GROW questions you ask every time, adapted to your voice and your team's reality.
Real problems, real team members, real next steps they came up with, not you.
You'll recognize the answer-giving reflex and redirect it before the words leave your mouth.
The exact prompts that turn vague check-ins into development conversations with clear outcomes.
The questions work whether you know the domain or not, because your job is their thinking.
How to check progress on coached actions without turning back into a micromanager.
- You manage people and you're tired of being the answer machine for problems they could solve themselves
- You've heard of coaching but you don't have a simple framework you can actually use in a real workday
- You want your team to grow, but most development advice assumes you have hours, not minutes
- You're ready to practice a real skill with real people, not read another theory book
- β You're looking for therapy techniques or life coaching methods - this is workplace coaching for managers
- β You don't have direct reports or regular 1:1s where you could practice the model
- β You want a course you can passively consume - this one requires you to coach real people during the ten days
A curriculum designed to move you π§
Days 1-3. You'll map where you're solving instead of coaching, learn why it's costing you leverage, and run your first GROW conversation with full scaffolding. By day three you've coached once and captured the difference.
Days 4-6. You'll adapt the GROW questions to your natural style, handle the silence after a question without filling it, and coach through one conversation that goes sideways. You'll finish day six with your second and third live conversations.
Days 7-9. You'll coach in shorter windows, apply GROW to performance issues and conflict, and run conversations four and five with less prep and more instinct. You'll also learn when to stop coaching and start directing.
Days 10. You'll build your post-course coaching rhythm, review all five conversations for patterns, and design the check-in system that keeps coached actions alive without you chasing them. You leave with a habit, not a workshop memory.

Coach
The Exponential Coach π€
The Exponential Coach has spent twenty years teaching managers to multiply their impact through people. The GROW model is the single most requested framework in that work, because it's the one leaders actually use when the day gets busy. This course distills two decades of manager coaching into a ten-day practice sprint, built for people who lead real teams in real organizations where ten-minute conversations are often all you get. Every lesson, every task, every example comes from coaching thousands of managers through the same transition you're making: from expert to multiplier, from answer-giver to question-asker.
The course strips GROW down to what works in the wild. No academic theory, no certified-coach jargon, no pretending you have an hour for every conversation. Just the four questions, the follow-up structure, and the practice reps that turn coaching from an aspiration into a reflex. You'll finish the course with five real conversations behind you and a framework you'll use for the rest of your leadership career.
Growth, in their own words π
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"I coached my senior developer through a technical architecture decision I knew nothing about, and he came up with a better solution than I would have told him to build. That's when I realized this actually works."
Marcus Wei, Engineering Manager, Singapore (composite student voice)
"Before this course I thought coaching meant hour-long deep conversations. Now I coach in ten minutes between meetings and my team is solving problems I used to stay late fixing for them."
Priya Sadana, Operations Lead, Mumbai (composite student voice)
"Day six was the turning point. I coached someone through a conflict with a peer and stayed in questions the whole time. She owned the solution, executed it the same day, and the relationship is better than before. I would have told her what to do and made it worse."
Elena Ruiz, Sales Manager, Madrid (composite student voice)
FAQ β―οΈ
I've never formally coached anyone. Is this too advanced?+
No. This course assumes you manage people and have 1:1s, nothing more. The GROW model is specifically designed for non-coach managers. You'll start with full scripts and examples, practice on real but lower-stakes conversations, and build confidence across ten days. If you can ask questions and stay quiet after asking them, you can do this.
What if my team members don't respond well to coaching questions?+
Day five covers exactly this. Some people want answers, some situations need answers, and the course teaches you when to coach and when to direct. You'll also learn how to set up a coaching conversation so people know what's happening and why. Resistance usually means unclear context or wrong timing, and we fix both.
Can I coach on topics where I'm not the subject expert?+
Yes, and that's often where coaching works best. GROW doesn't require you to know the answer because the questions guide their thinking, not your expertise. You'll practice this explicitly in the course - coaching on problems outside your domain, using questions to help them structure their own knowledge.
Is ten minutes really enough for a meaningful coaching conversation?+
For many situations, yes. GROW is designed for brevity. You're not doing therapy or career counseling, you're helping someone think through a work problem and own the next step. The course shows you how to timebox, how to go deeper when you have more time, and how to link short conversations into a development thread over weeks.
What if I don't have five separate people to coach?+
You can coach the same person five times on different topics, or repeat GROW in different contexts (1:1s, quick hallway problems, team sessions). The goal is five real uses of the model with real owned actions. The variety matters more than the roster. If you have even two or three direct reports or regular collaborators, you have enough practice ground.
