Recover Like an Athlete
This 21-day course teaches you what elite athletes have known for decades: performance is built in recovery, not in grinding harder. You'll move from awareness of your actual energy state through authentic assessment of what drains and restores you, to action—a personalized three-week energy plan with measurable recovery markers that fit your C-suite reality.
Six shifts. One new you. 🌱
A three-week rolling plan that matches recovery intensity to decision load, not calendar accidents.
Five measurable signals you track daily that tell you when you're actually restored, not just rested.
A decision tree for what to decline, delegate or delay based on your energy budget, not guilt.
A protocol that gets you to sleep faster and keeps you there, designed for high-cognitive-load roles.
Your calendar restructured so energy-expensive interactions happen when you have capacity, not convenience.
How to talk to your board, team and family about protecting recovery without sounding like you're checking out.
- You're a C-level executive, founder or senior leader responsible for decisions that move millions or affect hundreds of people.
- You've noticed your judgment, patience or strategic clarity isn't what it was, and you suspect exhaustion is the variable.
- You've tried productivity hacks and they worked until they made things worse. You're ready for a different model.
- You're willing to treat energy management as serious executive infrastructure, not self-care fluff.
- ✕ You're looking for hustle motivation or tips to work even harder. This course will disappoint you.
- ✕ You believe rest is something you earn after the win. Athletes know rest is how you get the win.
- ✕ You want theory and frameworks but won't actually track your energy or change your calendar. No spectators allowed.
A curriculum designed to move you 🧭
Days 1–6. Map your true energy state across cognitive, emotional and physical domains. Identify the silent drains (decision fatigue, context switching, relational debt) and the real restorers (not what you think). You'll finish with a baseline energy profile and the five markers you'll track.
Days 7–12. Build your personal recovery system. Design sleep, movement, nutrition and cognitive rest protocols that actually fit a senior leader's constraints. No athlete-level discipline required, but no half-measures either. You'll test and refine your protocols in real weeks.
Days 13–18. Implement periodization—matching recovery intensity to your actual decision and performance cycles. Restructure your calendar, delegate strategically, and install the recovery conversation with your key stakeholders. You'll run a full cycle and measure the markers.
Days 19–21. Lock in the long game. Build the quarterly energy review, train your team to protect your recovery time, and design your personal early-warning system for when you're sliding back into the red. You'll finish with a forward commitment and a plan that outlasts the course.

Coach
The Exponential Coach 🤝
The Exponential Coach has spent two decades working with leaders at the edge of their capacity—C-suite executives, founders scaling through chaos, and senior leaders carrying organizations on their shoulders. This course draws on work with over 1,500 leaders who learned the hard way that you can't outwork exhaustion, and on research partnerships with performance scientists who study how elite athletes sustain excellence over careers, not quarters. The method here isn't borrowed from sports and pasted onto business. It's built from the ground up for leaders whose recovery has to happen inside a role that never stops demanding more.
Growth, in their own words 💖
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"I was sleeping four hours a night and thought that was the cost of the job. Three weeks in, I'm at seven hours, my executive team says I'm sharper in meetings, and I made a strategic call last week I would have botched two months ago. The energy markers are now in my weekly dashboard."
Sarah Chen, CEO, Berlin (composite student voice)
"The periodization model changed everything. I used to treat every week the same and wonder why I felt destroyed by Friday. Now I match recovery to load—I plan lighter weeks after board meetings and investor sprints. My COO said I've stopped snapping at people in the afternoons."
Marcus Williams, Founder, London (composite student voice)
"I thought I was managing energy. I was managing guilt about not working enough. The recovery conversation framework helped me reset expectations with my board and my family. I'm working fewer hours, making better decisions, and my last health check was the best in five years."
Annika Bergström, Chief Strategy Officer, Stockholm (composite student voice)
FAQ ☯️
I barely have 15 minutes a day. How is this realistic for someone at my level?+
Because it's designed for your level. Every task happens inside your existing day—no extra workouts, no journaling retreats. You'll restructure what you already do (meetings, decisions, sleep) to recover you instead of drain you. The 15 minutes is the lesson. The task is your actual work, done differently.
Will this make me seem less committed or available to my team and board?+
The opposite. Leaders who recover well make faster, clearer decisions and stay emotionally steady under pressure. Your team will notice you're sharper before they notice you're protecting boundaries. The course includes the exact language to frame recovery as performance infrastructure, not personal indulgence.
I've tried sleep hygiene and exercise plans. How is this different?+
Those are tools. This is a system. You'll learn to periodize—to match recovery intensity to your actual cognitive and decision load, the way athletes peak and taper. You'll also measure recovery with markers (HRV, decision latency, relational patience) so you know it's working, not guessing.
What if my role genuinely doesn't allow me to control my calendar or say no?+
Then you'll finish this course knowing exactly what that cost is, in measurable terms, and you'll have the data to renegotiate or decide whether the role is sustainable. Most leaders discover they have more control than they've been using. Some discover they need to change the role or leave it. Both are better than slow collapse.
Is this just for people who are already burned out?+
No. It's for people who want to sustain performance for the next decade, not just survive the next quarter. If you're burned out, this will help you rebuild. If you're not, this will keep you from getting there. The best time to build recovery infrastructure is before you need it to save you.
