Powered by the Exponential Coach Methodology π§

You inherited a weekly meeting no one wants to attend, and you're the one who has to fix it. π
Team Meetings That Work: Your First Meeting System
This 7-day course turns your team meeting from obligation into operating system. You'll gain awareness of what makes meetings fail, build authentic meeting leadership skills that match your style, and take action twiceβredesigning your meeting structure and running it with visible improvement.
Six shifts. One new you. π±
With timeboxes, clear owners, and a pre-work system that arrives before the room fills.
You'll facilitate your redesigned meeting twice during the course and adjust based on what happened.
A decision framework for what belongs in the meeting and what belongs in Slack instead.
Techniques to get contributions from people who never speak up without putting them on the spot.
Every meeting ends with named owners and deadlines, and you'll know how to track follow-through.
You'll walk in knowing exactly what happens in each segment and how to keep it on track.
- You're leading a team for the first time and inherited a meeting format you didn't design
- You know your current team meeting isn't working but you don't know what good looks like
- You want a system you can use every week, not theory about meeting culture
- You're ready to try something new in front of your team within the next seven days
- β You're looking for a course on facilitating workshops or big all-hands sessions (this is for your core team meeting)
- β You don't actually run a recurring team meeting yet and won't for the next few months
- β You want someone else to fix your meeting for you instead of learning to design it yourself
A curriculum designed to move you π§
Day 1-2. You'll audit your current meeting against the five failure patterns and identify which one is killing yours. You'll also map where your team's real coordination work happens and discover what your meeting should actually do.
Day 3-5. You'll build your agenda structure with timeboxes and roles, write your first pre-work brief, and script your opening for the redesigned meeting. You'll also learn how to match meeting format to your leadership style instead of copying someone else's playbook.
Day 6-7. You'll facilitate your new meeting format, gather real-time feedback from the room, make one adjustment, and run it again. The course ends when you've completed two live iterations and documented what worked.
Embedded throughout. You'll install a weekly 10-minute prep routine, a post-meeting action tracker, and a monthly meeting health check so your system stays tight after the course ends.

Coach
The Exponential Coach π€
The Exponential Coach has spent 20 years helping leaders turn messy team dynamics into high-performing systems. After running hundreds of leadership workshops across Europe and building meeting architectures for teams from 5 to 500, they know the difference between meetings that produce results and meetings that produce resentment. This course distills two decades of facilitation experience into a repeatable system any new leader can install in one week.
Growth, in their own words π
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"I redesigned our Monday standup using the course structure and by week two people were actually showing up on time. The action-tracking system alone saved us three hours of follow-up emails."
Sarah M., Team Lead, Munich (composite student voice)
"I was terrified to change our meeting because I'd only been leading the team for a month. The day-by-day structure gave me the confidence to just do it. Now our meetings end early and people thank me for their time back."
James K., Engineering Manager, Dublin (composite student voice)
"The pre-work brief template was a game changer. We went from spending 20 minutes rehashing context to spending 5 minutes making decisions. My boss noticed the difference without me saying anything."
Priya L., Operations Lead, Zurich (composite student voice)
FAQ β―οΈ
What if my team hates meetings and I'm afraid they'll resist the changes?+
Day 3 includes a change-communication script you'll use to frame the redesign as an experiment, not a mandate. You'll also learn how to gather input without designing by committee. Resistance usually drops after the first improved meeting when people see their time being respected.
Do I need permission from my manager to change our meeting format?+
The course assumes you own your team's internal meeting. If your manager attends, Day 5 covers how to brief them on the change beforehand. Most managers are thrilled when a new lead takes initiative to make meetings better.
What if I can't run the meeting twice during the 7 days because of schedules?+
The course is designed around a weekly meeting cadence. If your meeting is biweekly, start the course so Day 6 lands on your next meeting day. You'll complete the second run in week two. The system works as long as you get both live runs done.
Is this only for in-person meetings or does it work for remote and hybrid teams?+
Every technique works on video. Day 4 specifically addresses hybrid meeting design so remote participants aren't second-class. The agenda structure and participation tools are platform-agnostic.
What if my meeting is already pretty good and I just want to make it great?+
If your meeting has a clear agenda, ends with documented actions, and people leave energized, you might be better served by a deeper facilitation course. This course is for leaders who know their meeting needs structural work.
