Turn Your Board Into Your Strongest Strategic Asset

Awareness → Authenticity → Action. Every course is built on the same proven loop that has guided 1,500+ leaders from stuck to unstoppable.
Your board isn't a quarterly ritual—they're the relationship that defines your tenure 🧭
The Board Relationship: Managing Up at the Highest Level
This 21-day executive course teaches you to treat your board as individual relationships, not a collective audience. You'll map each member's priorities and communication style (Awareness), build authentic connection rituals that fit your leadership identity (Authenticity), and execute individual engagement plans that turn board members into active allies between meetings (Action).
Six shifts. One new you. 🌱
A working document on each member: priorities, levers, preferred communication, and how to engage them.
You'll stop cold-calling board meetings and start shaping outcomes through one-on-one pre-work.
Scripts and frameworks for requesting introductions, advice, or support without feeling like you're using people.
You'll read board disagreement as strategic input instead of personal judgment of your performance.
A follow-up system that keeps board members engaged and informed without becoming a burden.
By day 21 you will have run individual engagement plans with two board members and documented results.
- You're a CEO, founder, or C-level executive with a formal board or advisory board
- You feel like you're performing for the board instead of partnering with them
- You've had board members offer help but you never follow up because you don't know how
- You want to turn quarterly board meetings into ongoing strategic relationships
- ✕ You don't have a board and won't have one in the next six months
- ✕ You think board management is your CFO's or general counsel's job
- ✕ You believe boards exist to approve your decisions, not co-create strategy
A curriculum designed to move you 🧭
Map each board member's background, incentives, and communication preferences. Understand what they care about beyond fiduciary duty and how their expertise can serve your strategy.
Design and test authentic engagement rituals. Learn what to share, when to ask, and how to stay visible between meetings without becoming noise.
Build and execute individual plans for two board members. Practice the pre-meeting stakeholder call, the strategic ask, and the post-meeting follow-up that converts advice into action.
Install a board relationship operating system. Consolidate what worked across 21 days into a sustainable rhythm that scales to your full board.

Coach
The Exponential Coach 🤝
The Exponential Coach has spent two decades working with founders and C-level executives navigating the most high-stakes relationships in business. This course distills hundreds of real board rooms—the functional and the dysfunctional—into a system that treats board members as strategic partners, not oversight.
He believes most executives under-utilize their boards because they were never taught that board management is relationship work, not presentation work. This course corrects that gap with frameworks built for leaders who want their board to be a force multiplier, not a quarterly stress test.
Growth, in their own words 💖
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"I used to batch all my board communication into the meeting deck. Now I have a standing call with two board members and they've opened three doors I didn't even know existed. The individual engagement plan framework is the single best tool I've picked up this year."
Sarah Chen, CEO, Berlin (composite student voice)
"This course taught me that my board chair and I had completely different definitions of what 'strategic support' meant. One conversation using the priorities map changed the entire relationship. I finally feel like I have a thought partner instead of a judge."
Marcus Osei, Founder, London (composite student voice)
"I was avoiding one board member because every conversation felt like an interrogation. The conflict-as-signal framework helped me realize he was pressure-testing because he cared, not because he doubted me. We're now co-authoring the market expansion strategy."
Elena Ruiz, Chief Product Officer, Madrid (composite student voice)
FAQ ☯️
What if my board is small or informal?+
The course works for any governance structure where you report upward to experienced stakeholders. Advisory boards, investor boards, or even a single mentor relationship all benefit from the individual engagement approach.
Will this work if I have a difficult or disengaged board member?+
Yes. Module 2 includes specific tactics for re-engaging the checked-out and de-escalating the combative. You'll practice diagnosis before intervention, so you're addressing the real issue, not the surface behavior.
How much time does this take per day?+
Each morning lesson is 3 to 5 minutes. The daily task happens inside your normal work week—most are embedded in conversations or meetings you'd have anyway. Total daily commitment is under 30 minutes including the evening reflection.
I already have good relationships with some board members. Is this still useful?+
Absolutely. The course systematizes what you're doing intuitively with those members and extends it across the full board. You'll also learn how to leverage strong relationships to improve weaker ones through strategic triangulation.
What if I can't engage two board members during the 21 days due to schedules?+
The engagement plan template works asynchronously. If a board member is unavailable for live conversation, you'll adapt the plan to email, voice memos, or written updates. The outcome is the plan's execution and their response, not a specific meeting format.
