Coming Back Together After a Fight

You know how to start a fight, but you never learned how to finish one well 💖
The Repair Kit
Most couples are excellent at conflict and terrible at repair. This 14-day course teaches you and your partner how to close the loop after a fight—not with forced apologies or rug-sweeping, but with a personalized repair system you build together. Awareness: you'll map what actually breaks connection during conflict. Authenticity: you'll name what each of you needs to feel safe coming back. Action: you'll use your custom repair menu in a real argument and debrief it together.
Six shifts. One new you. 🌱
Built with your partner, covering what each of you needs after conflict.
You'll use the menu during the course and debrief what worked.
Most couples confuse them; you'll know exactly what each does.
Mapped in detail so you can interrupt it consciously next time.
One phrase or gesture that means 'I'm ready to come back.'
Because you'll know how to find each other again after.
- You're partnered and tired of the long cold silence after arguments
- You want practical tools, not therapy-speak or communication theory
- You're both willing to try something new, even if one of you is more skeptical
- You've had the same fight three times this month and want it to end differently
- ✕ You're looking for ways to avoid conflict entirely (conflict is normal; repair is the skill)
- ✕ You want to win arguments, not resolve them
- ✕ Your partner refuses to participate in anything relationship-related
A curriculum designed to move you 🧭
Map your couple's post-conflict pattern. What happens after the yelling stops? Who withdraws, who pursues, and how long does the cold war last? You'll track three real disconnections and find the hidden structure.
Build your repair menu together. What helps you feel safe coming back? Words, touch, time alone first, a walk, a specific phrase? You'll create a shared list of repair bids that work for both of you.
The next time you fight (and you will), you'll reach for the menu. One partner initiates repair, the other responds, and you both debrief what happened. This is where theory becomes muscle memory.
Install repair as a permanent couple skill. You'll troubleshoot what didn't work, add to the menu, and design a check-in rhythm so repair becomes automatic, not optional.

Coach
The Exponential Coach 🤝
The Exponential Coach has spent twenty years teaching couples how to fight well and repair better. After watching hundreds of relationships end not from conflict but from unrepaired disconnection, he built this course around one insight: repair is a designable system, not a feeling you wait for. He's worked with couples in 34 countries, from newlyweds to thirty-year partnerships, and every one of them thought they were the only couple who couldn't figure out how to reconnect after a fight.
This course contains the exact repair frameworks his private clients pay thousands for, adapted into a 14-day partner practice you can complete at home. No therapist required, no scheduled sessions, just two people willing to close the loop.
Growth, in their own words 💖
Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.
"We used to stay mad for three days after a fight. Now we're back to normal by bedtime, sometimes sooner. The repair menu sits on our fridge and we actually use it."
Marta K., project manager, Vienna (composite student voice)
"I was skeptical that a course could change how we fight, but it's not about the fighting—it's about what happens after. We have a system now. That's the difference."
Jamal T., software engineer, Toronto (composite student voice)
"The first time we used the repair menu during a real argument, I cried. Not from sadness—from relief. We'd never had a way to come back before. Now we do."
Sophie L., teacher, Brussels (composite student voice)
FAQ ☯️
What if my partner won't do the course with me?+
You can start solo. Many exercises are observational (tracking patterns, noticing bids) and don't require your partner's active participation at first. Often, one partner starting changes the dynamic enough that the other gets curious. By Day 5, you'll have language to invite them into building the repair menu together.
Do we have to fight during the course for it to work?+
You don't have to manufacture conflict, but you'll likely have at least one real disagreement in 14 days—most couples do. If you don't, you'll apply the repair practice to a past unresolved fight or a low-stakes disconnection (like one of you shutting down during a tense conversation). The system works on any rupture.
What if we've tried 'communication techniques' before and they felt fake?+
This isn't about scripted phrases or communication sandwich formulas. You're building a menu of what actually works for your specific relationship, using your words and your repair bids. It only feels authentic because you design it together based on what you each genuinely need.
How much time does this take each day?+
Five minutes for the morning lesson, 10–15 minutes for the daily practice (some days it's a conversation with your partner, some days it's solo reflection), and two minutes for the evening recap. Total: under 25 minutes daily. The real work happens during conflicts you'd have anyway.
What if one of us is always the one who has to initiate repair?+
That's one of the patterns you'll map early and rebalance by Day 11. The course explicitly addresses pursuer-withdrawer dynamics and teaches both partners how to initiate repair, so the load doesn't fall on one person forever. You'll install a shared responsibility system.
