    Triggered: Understanding Your Emotional Buttons

This 7-day course maps the hidden wiring behind your relational triggers so you finally understand why you react the way you do. You'll trace each button back to its origin, name the pattern out loud, and install a pause long enough to choose your response. 01
    Awareness: The Trigger Audit

Days 1-2. You'll identify your top five relational triggers, trace each one back to its earliest appearance, and map the physical pathway your body takes from calm to explosion. You'll complete a full trigger inventory covering words, tones, situations, and silences.

    02
    Authenticity: The Pattern Underneath

Days 3-4. You'll distinguish true triggers from valid boundaries, uncover the unmet need or old wound driving each reaction, and speak the truth under the trigger out loud for the first time. You'll rewrite three trigger moments as clear need statements.

    03
    Action: The Pause Installation

Days 5-6. You'll learn the two-second body intervention that interrupts the trigger pathway, practice it in low-stakes moments, then apply it successfully in one real high-stakes interaction. You'll document exactly what changed when you paused.

    04
    Integration: Your Trigger Protocol

Day 7. You'll build a personalized trigger-management system for your three hardest relationships, install early-warning practices, and complete a capstone task where you handle a known trigger without any reaction damage. You'll finish with proof you can do this.

    The Exponential Coach 🀝

The Exponential Coach has spent twenty years helping people understand the gap between how they want to show up in relationships and how they actually behave when their buttons get pressed. Trained in attachment science, somatic psychology, and the neuroscience of emotional reactivity, they know that triggers aren't character flaws but unfinished emotional business demanding resolution.

This course distills two decades of client work into the exact sequence that works: map the wiring, own the pattern, interrupt the pathway, choose the response. No shame, no excuses, no pretending you can think your way out of a body-level reaction. Just the truth about how triggers work and the practices that actually change them.

Growth, in their own words πŸ’–

Composite student voices representing typical outcomes.

"I've been in therapy for years talking about my anger but this course gave me the actual body tool to stop it. Day 5 I paused mid-fight with my sister for the first time ever. She noticed."

Marta K., HR manager, Vienna (composite student voice)

"I thought I was just a reactive person. Turns out I have three specific triggers all rooted in the same childhood dynamic. Naming that changed everything about how I date."

James T., software developer, London (composite student voice)

"The trigger-versus-boundary distinction saved my relationship. I was calling everything a trigger when half of it was actually me not stating my needs. Now I know the difference and I use both correctly."

Ines R., teacher, Zurich (composite student voice)

    FAQ ☯️

What if I don't know what my triggers are yet?+

Day 1 walks you through a structured trigger audit covering words, tones, situations, and silences. You'll finish the first day with a clear list. If you've ever had a disproportionate reaction to something small, you have triggers to map.

Do I need to involve anyone else in the daily tasks?+

No. Every task is self-work or observation you can do alone. You'll apply what you learn in real interactions, but no task requires another person's participation or even their awareness that you're doing a course.

What if my triggers come from real trauma?+

This course teaches trigger management, not trauma resolution. If your triggers are rooted in significant trauma, the pause techniques here will help you stay regulated while you do deeper work with a therapist. This is not a substitute for professional trauma treatment.

Will this stop me from ever getting triggered again?+

No, and that's not the goal. You'll still get triggered. The change is you'll recognize it faster, understand it better, and interrupt the automatic reaction long enough to choose a response that doesn't damage your relationships. That's mastery.

    I'm singleβ€”is this still relevant?+

Absolutely. Triggers show up in every relationship: family, friends, colleagues, dates. Understanding your buttons makes you better at all of them. Several tasks specifically work with non-romantic relationships, and the self-knowledge transfers everywhere.
